ROC Government has abolished subsidies for foreigner with HIV infection who receive local treatment.

The official letter, No. 1040101159 by Ministry of Health and Welfare announces the ratification of “Regulations Governing Subsidies for Treatment Expenses of HIV-Infected Persons” to replace the previous“Regulations Governing Subsidies for Examination & Prevention and for Treatment Expenses of HIV-Infected Persons.”

 

The new regulations shall abolish the restrictions on foreigners’ entry, stay, and residence. The new regulations shall not grant subsidies for foreigners with HIV infection who receive local treatment.

 

Foreigners with HIV infection shall make a NTD 300,000 self-payment for their treatment.
